how we work

The book first. The rest follows.

You don't need to figure out the whole process yourself. We've done this many times. Here's how it works.

i.

The conversation.

We figure out what book you're writing.

We start with a single conversation. No forms to fill in, no brief to submit. Just a call — usually 45 minutes — where we ask you about the book, what you want it to do, and where you are with it.

We find out whether you have a manuscript already written or just an idea. Who you're writing for and why now. What a good outcome looks like for you.

At the end of that call, we'll tell you whether we think we can help, and if so, how. We won't sell you a package you don't need.

ii.

The plan.

The whole thing, mapped out before we start.

Before we begin any work, we build a plan — a single document that covers everything. The scope of the writing. The editing schedule. The design direction. The publishing timeline. And if it's relevant, the work that comes after.

You review it. You ask questions. We adjust it. Work only begins when both sides have agreed to the same document.

This is what prevents scope creep, delays, and surprises. The plan is the contract.

iii.

The work.

Writing, editing, publishing — done in order.

This is the main stretch. Writing first, if we're ghostwriting. Then editing — three passes: structure, flow, and polish. Then design: cover, interior layout, typesetting. Then publishing: ISBN registration, distribution setup, file preparation.

You're involved at each stage, but you're not managing it. We bring things to you for review and approval. You give feedback. We implement it. Nothing moves forward without your sign-off.

How long it takes:

For most projects, four to nine months from first draft to published book. Projects that include extensive ghostwriting take longer. We'll give you a specific timeline in your plan.

iv.

The ecosystem (if you want it).

We read the book and figure out what it could become.

Once the book is published, it doesn't have to stop there. Most books are one thing. Ours often become more.

We look at what you wrote — the ideas, the frameworks, the stories — and figure out what else they could be. A course. A workbook. A keynote. A podcast. Content for the next two years.

Not every book needs this. But if yours does, we build it.

How we hold ourselves

Four things we don't compromise on.

We build from the book.

Every course, workbook, and talk comes from the original manuscript. The ideas stay yours. The voice stays recognizable. Nothing gets reinvented.

Clarity before output.

We decide what to build and why before we start. No scattered production.

Editorial care.

The work gets shaped properly, not templated or rushed. Your name is on it. It has to be right.

Fast, steady, dependable.

Clear milestones. Clean handovers. No drift. No ambiguity. We move quickly and deliver what we promised.

The working surface

The work around the book, on one page.

A stylised glimpse of how we hold the work — the book's chapters on the left, the artefacts mapped in the middle, the reader's journey on the right. Not a dashboard. A document.
